·Abaddon曾经是一个有名望的圣骑士，但在燃烧军团入侵的时候堕入黑暗。他的力量和灵魂都被腐蚀，因此变得和魔鬼一样疯狂。握着巫妖王为他準备的吸魂剑，他纵马而出，即使明知没有成功的可能，也从来不会在杀掉他的目标之前收手。身为地狱领主的他，不但可以通过他的黑暗能量盾来增强自己的韧性，而且可以把伤害当成小事一般不予理睬。因此，他可以带领着天灾军团永远向前，永远出现在与正义势力的战斗中，即使他的敌人曾经是他最好的同伴。

Abaddon长发，有尾巴，有皇冠有铁甲，有翅膀，用针攻击。不要想像成沙王他爸爸。实际上，abaddon通常被理解为一个真人大小蝗虫(locust)，他是瘟疫之神，lord of pestilence.

abaddon这个词语经常带有诗意，指人的时候经常指：哈迪斯(hades),shoel(圣经上说，abaddon同shoel同级别)，等等，哈迪斯指地名的时候这词指死亡之国，abaddon他是无底深渊之天使

哈迪斯在征服了地球的第四部分后死去，被后人赋予了人性，而abaddon则是由犹太祭司赋予了人性

有些圣经学者的认为abaddon就是撒旦(satan),也有认为abaddon是地狱次级的恶魔，还有学者认为abaddon是位黑暗天使。

Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers在他的着作《Greater Key of Solomon 》里则声称，摩西曾藉助abaddon的力量惩戒过埃及，相关部分可以在〈圣经出埃及记》中看到

The Pharaoh or king of Egypt would not let Moses take God's people back to the promised land.

So God said I will send plagues to harden Pharaoh's heart and then he will let my people go.The Ten plagues from God on the King of Egypt were the plagues of: blood, frogs, gnats, flies, livestock, boils, hail, Locusts, darkness, Death of first born.

根据Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers的意思，上文中的God就是指abaddon.

耶和华见证人(美国的一个宗教组织)，起初认为abaddon是一位魔鬼，但是现在则证实他并不是魔鬼，而是堕落天使，在圣经《启示录》中，这样描述，the angel with the key of the abyss and a large prison in his hand seized the dragon (Satan the Devil) and threw him down into the abyss, and closed it on him (Satan)",而文中“the angel with the key of the abyss”指的就是abaddon
