Siedah没有辜负MJ团队对她的看重。她和Glen Ballard合作为BAD专辑写了一首超级金曲Man In The Mirror。这首歌表达了对贫困人群的担忧，并提倡从改变自我开始改变世界。MJ将Siedah和Glen Ballard的作品演绎得十分精彩。Man In The Mirror发售于1988年2月，在没有MV支持的情况下在美国Billboard榜成功登顶，成为了BAD专辑在美国的第四只冠军单曲；虽然这首歌在英国榜只拿到了21位，但时间将这首金曲的价值充分体现出来，MJ逝世后，Man In The Mirror成了MJ在英国播放次数最高的单曲。该曲的现场更是极富感染力，MJ在1988年的格莱美上表演了这首歌。我们可以在这首歌的和声中清楚地听到Siedah的声音。而Siedah Garrett也因为这首经典歌曲永远被人们铭记。

1991年，她成为了电视节目 America's Top 10 的主持人。

1992-1993，Siedah作为伴唱之一参加了Michael Jackson的Dangerous世界巡演，并与MJ一同演唱I Just Can't Stop Loving You。看得出来Michael挺喜欢Siedah，并且他们之间还传过一些新闻。

1995年，Siedah被邀请参与了Maysa Leak's (of the group Incognito) 首张独唱专辑的工作，她担任了歌曲Sexy的合作作词人并在和声中献声。

1996年，她加入了Brand New Heavies，参与了他们一张专辑的工作，并与1998年初离开乐队，专注于个人的歌曲创作。

Garrett于2004年作为伴唱和dancer参与了麦当娜的巡演。

2006年，Garrett开始为Bill Condon工作。Condon当时正在拍电影梦幻女郎（Dreamgirls）。由她填词的一首作品Love You I Do交给了Jennifer Hudson独唱，这首作品为Garrett带来了2007年奥斯卡最佳原创歌曲提名。在第50届格莱美上，Love You I Do让Garrett和合作者Henry Krieger赢得了两个奖项。
