他在擂台之外的工作同样堪称成功，Austin在WWE2007年出品的电影《死刑犯》中首次担任电影主角，不过无论是在好莱坞中还是在WWE的擂台之上，Stone Cold永远是一个垃圾话高手，一个喜欢痛饮啤酒的选手。这便是他与百万WWE冬粉们交流的方式，除了作为WWE史上最受观众喜爱、最为“臭名远扬”、桀骜不驯的巨星之一，"Stone Cold" Steve Austin还曾经获得6次WWE冠军、1次洲际冠军、世界双打冠军，3次皇家大战胜者，擂台之王。光是在摔角狂热上赢得WWE冠军就有三次。
1990年，Stone Cold Steve Austin进入摔角行业，受训于"Gentleman" Chris Adams，在USWA联盟工作一年后，德州响尾蛇辗转至WCW，绰号为"Stunning" Steve Austin，并在那里获得WCW电视冠军以及美国冠军。

职业摔角生涯
WCW时期
1991年，Austin以"Stunning" Steve Austin的名字由Vivacious Veronica作为经纪人加入了摔角联盟WCW，到了WCW之后Austin随即便被捧，当时的职业摔角手Lady Blossom（他的前妻）成为了Austin在擂台上忠实的“僕人”。次月，Austin在WCW电视冠军腰带争夺赛上击败了当时如日中天的选手Bobby Eaton，并在1991年末顺利凭藉自己超人的擂台表现能力加入Paul Heyman的“团队”Dangerously'sDangerous Alliance “。但是在1992年4月27日的一场Two out of three falls match中，Austin失去了他的WCW电视冠军腰带，对手是Barry Windham。
