《简·爱》读后感100字

One needs the inner strength, determination and an eye on the future to make it through smoke, storms, and setbacks. Such a strong character and generosity are acquired and not inherited. Jane Eyre was a ballsy character with strength and brains to survive in a cruel ,helpless world.
Jane Eyre selected a wrong man, Mr. Rochester was a weak, hypocrisy， cowardly person. She was willing to make any sacrifice for her moral superiority complex. She live under the illusion that it is love.

There is no conflict between love and wealth. It would be perfect to possess both. I had known how precious money was. When we are responsible with money we escape money guilt and can feel confident in our financial decisions. Saying that the wealth of Rochester is a huge obstacle between them were childishly simplistic and self-righteous.

“You are no ruin, sir—no lightning-struck tree: you are green and vigorous. Plants will grow about your roots, whether you ask them or not, because they take delight in your bountiful shadow; and as they grow they will lean towards you, and wind round you, because your strength offers them so safe a prop.”

“The red-room in which the little Jane Eyre is locked as a punishment for her panicky defense of herself against her cousin John Reed is the first noteworthy use of space in the novel. Not only does it signify to the reader it is a Gothic novel they are reading but the room serves as a symbol for a number of meanings as well.”

They went, shutting the door, and locking it behind them.The red-room was a square chamber, very seldom slept in, I might say never, indeed, unless when a chance influx of visitors at Gateshead Hall rendered it necessary to turn to account all the accommodation it contained: yet it was one of the largest and stateliest chambers in the mansion. A bed supported on massive pillars of mahogany, hung with curtains of deep red damask, stood out like a tabernacle in the centre; the two large windows, with their blinds always drawn down, were half shrouded in festoons and falls of similar drapery; the carpet was red; the table at the foot of the bed was covered with a crimson cloth; the walls were a soft fawn colour with a blush of pink in it; the wardrobe, the toilet-table, the chairs were of darkly polished old mahogany. Out of these deep surrounding shades rose high, and glared white, the piled-up mattresses and pillows of the bed, spread with a snowy Marseilles counterpane. Scarcely less prominent was an ample cushioned easy-chair near the head of the bed, also white, with a footstool before it; and looking, as I thought, like a pale throne.
This room was chill, because it seldom had a fire; it was silent, because remote from the nursery and kitchen;solemn, because it was known to be so seldom entered.
