It’s really short story with simple plots. Two-star recommended, it won’t take you a long time to finish it. Georgina was born in a marvellous castle which was owned by the Earl family, his father was the tenth Earl. Georgina’s father had craved for a son to inherit the estate, but unfortunately Georgina was girl. And after that her mother couldn’t give birth to another child. She was dressed like a boy with short curls, she was taught and treated as she was born a boy. She had learned to ride, shoot and swim, and she had fostered the habits of history and politics, she can handle the business of her family well.

Her father caught a serious disease, her mother was also in a poor condition, and soon her parents died.

It occurred to her that who’s the right person to the next heir, even if she hadn’t accustomed to the life without her father. Finally Georgina’s cousin, Alister was to be the eleventh Earl. Being afraid of Alister’s not knowing the customs in England that the eleventh Earl had to take care of the whole Earl family, Georgina’s aunt forced her to dress like a gentle woman that Alister would find it nice to have her handle the castle for him.

Though it’s quite queer for her to act like a gentle lady, she tried her best. To her disappointment, Alister promised to give a large amount of money and asked her to move out of the castle as soon as possible, he was afraid to be scandalized by others that both of them are single in the same castle.

At the end, Alister was attacked by several thieves whom broke in the castle and stole some luxurious pictures, Georgina saved him, she took care of him day and night, things had changed completely at that time, they fell in love with each other. And that’s the end of the story.

What impressed me most is Georgina’s character, I always dream to be that kind of girl, she is so kind, frank and outgoing, and point is that she is so smart! It was still a time that women were not allowed to speak and work in pubic, the male dominated the whole world, but Georgina was so brave, she insisted on being herself, she was so adorable and fascinating.

The scenery of western country has been described quite a lot, it indeed attracts me, I wish I would take a trip to England, and experience the life in western country.
